Wausau, Wis. -- Taking its cue from nature, Kolbe's "Environmental Expressions" palette of 32 color options includes 14 new exterior hues available for its windows and doors.

"Just as a golden sunrise, field of wildflowers or sparkle off the blue water offer an eye-catching glimmer in our natural environments, accent colors for windows, doors and trim accessories can spice up otherwise neutral tones in our built environments," says Cindy Bremer, director of marketing with Kolbe. "To capture current and emerging interests, we carefully reviewed our research and order history, and actively sought the input of our sales team and customers. Of course, color preferences often vary by region so we don't just add a single blue or green. Instead, we've responded with a selection of shades."

Palette of 32 Colors

As examples, Bremer notes that navy blue and berry hues are popular in New England, while golden warm colors and sage-tinted earth tones comprise the palette for the West Coast. Many color selections reflect the natural tones of the surrounding landscape such as yellow tans in the western mountains, terra cotta in the Southwest, forest green in the Midwest and green-gray mixtures near the Mid-Atlantic coastal waters.
