Gorell Introduces its Best-Performing Energy Star Qualified Glass Option for Windows and Doors
INDIANA, PA, December 5, 2007--Gorell Windows & Doors has introduced Ultra Master III™, a triple-glass system that enables windows to achieve U-values that are among the lowest in the industry. Windows with Ultra Master III significantly lower home energy costs, make homes noticeably more comfortable and offer excellent UV protection. The Solar Heat Gain Coefficient ratings of windows with Ultra Master III are practically unmatched, allowing windows and doors to perform well in warm-weather climates by preventing heat from entering homes.
Ultra Master III consists of three panes of glass, two advanced Low-E coatings--SolarControl Max and SolarControl Plus--a proprietary spacer system, and krypton gas fill between the glass panes. The two Low-E coatings allow Ultra Master to filter out more than 99 percent of the spectrum of UV light that fades draperies, carpeting and other home furnishings. This glass has a remarkably high Fade Protection Factor (FPF) of 44. FPF is a rating achieved through independent laboratory testing to measure fade protection.
Ultra Master III
Ultra Master III is now available on Gorell's 5300 Series double-hung, sliding and picture window models, 3000 Series casement and awning windows, and 6000 Series sliding patio doors.
