PEACHTREE CITY, GA., December 6, 2007 - Cooper Wiring Devices expanded its lighting control product offering with the introduction of new Full Slide Decorator Dimmers and Fan Speed Controls that offer innovative design and easy installation to provide an affordable and convenient upgrade to any home. The new Full Slide dimmer switch offers an upgrade over standard switches by providing dimming capabilities and fully variable and multi-speed "quiet versions" of fan speed control.

Full Side Decorator Dimmers and Fan Control

The increased area of the mounting straps and side- and back-wired terminals make installation quicker, while the low-profile housing, only 1.27", gives installers more room inside the box for wires. The new preset dimmers can be used for both single-pole and 3-way wiring configurations, and offer incandescent and magnetic low voltage capabilities in a single SKU.

Once installed, the Full Slide Dimmers and Fan Speed Controls save users money through energy efficiency and extended lamp life. Simply dimming the light halfway reduces energy consumption by 40 percent, while prolonging the life of the light bulb up to 20 times longer than it would without dimming.

The dimmers feature a high-gloss exterior made of UV-color-stable material and a dirt-resistant surface, and are lighted to make them easy to locate in the dark. They fit any standard decorator wallplates and can also be used with Cooper's designer screwless wallplates. The product line offering includes: Non-preset Incandescent 600W Dimmers, Preset Incandescent/Magnetic Low Voltage Dimmers in 600W and 1000W and a Preset 1.5A Quiet 3-Speed Fan Control. A 5A Fully Variable Fan Speed Control is available in both Non-preset and Preset versions.
