CGI Window and Doors Introduces New Impact Resistant Sliding Glass Door
MIAMI - January 9, 2008 - CGI Window & Doors is celebrating the New Year with the introduction of its new Series 560 large and small missile impact resistant aluminum sliding glass door. The Miami-based window and door manufacturer will unveil its new door at the International Homebuilder's Show in Orlando on Feb 13-16.
CGI invested years of engineering research into developing the new Series 560 Sliding Glass Door which complements its existing line of impact resistant aluminum products. "What makes this door unique is its clean design and incredible performance of +120/-170 PSF," says Flavio Quesada, President and founder of CGI and the design engineer of the new door. "Simply put, it's the strongest sliding glass door in the market, yet competitively priced."

Series 560 Impact Resistant Sliding Glass Door
Strength is important to CGI's customer base in South Florida and beyond, who can find themselves in the path of the destructive hurricanes unexpectedly. "This door system meets our goals in every aspect including maintaining CGI's reputation for product quality and beauty, highest design loads, market leading 5'x10' large missile panels, and simplified installation that does not require numerous trims, clips and accessories. Dealers and installers will enjoy significant cost savings from the simple frame assembly, minimum number of parts and a single row of fasteners," says Steve Dawson, executive vice president sales for CGI. "This door works well in both new construction and retrofit applications," he added".
Architects and owners alike will also be attracted to the door's other standard high security features, which are typically upgrades in competitive products. Standard features with the Series 560 Sliding Glass Door include a Maximum Security stainless steel deadbolt lock, cast stainless steel keeper, tandem stainless steel rollers with precision bearings, back to back solid round pulls and a standard stainless steel package. Standard hardware finishes are Satin Nickel PVD and Dark Bronze.
