Hanson Brick Launches New Clay Brick StylesHanson launches new product line aimed at filling market demand for earth tone bricks that coordinate with stone
Hanson Brick, North America's largest brick manufacturer, announces the launch of 14 new clay brick styles inspired by nature's colors and designed to harmonize with a variety of stone cladding.
"The Southwest market has moved beyond the traditional straight edge red brick and is demanding bricks with a handmade or distressed appearance that impart a rustic appeal," said Thad Cleckler, vice president of sales for Hanson Brick's West region. "The subtle color variations of our new bricks from the Elgin and Athens plants enable them to stand alone or to complement the most popular stone colors, which have white, gray, brown and rust highlights."
The new earth tone bricks are available throughout Texas and contiguous states.
Hanson utilized innovative manufacturing systems to create unique, non-repetitive textures and a variety of slurries and sands to produce color combinations and highlights for each of the new bricks.
The new textured earth tone product line includes 10 bricks, which have edge treatments designed to complement each unique face texture, from Hanson's Elgin Plant:
- Bellamy – A textured face, red body brick with brown, gray and white sand accents that combine for light and dark color variations.
- Addison– A terra cotta body brick with white highlights and a textured face.
- Brookshire – A tan body brick with brown and white highlights and a textured face.
- Sable Ridge – A textured face, tan body brick with a subtle combination of gray and black highlights.
- Belterra – A taupe body brick with gray and brown accents and a textured face.
- Enclave – A taupe brick with a combination of earth tone slurries and gray and black sand.

- Saratoga– With unique texturing, this taupe brick has a recycled appearance to complement white, gray and rust accents.
- Sheridan – A textured face, terra cotta body with olive and brown slurry coatings, and black and gray sand highlights.
- Glenhaven – This textured face, terra cotta brick has cream mineral slurry with accents created with various sands and fire clay.
The new textured product line also includes two straight edge bricks from the Elgin Plant:

- Stonegate – A beige, textured face brick with accents created with a variety of gray and black sand and smidgen of fire clay.
Hanson also has two new products from its Athens Plant, both with beveled edges:
