That's exactly what Pearl Baths, a division of MAAX, Inc., a leading North American manufacturer of bathroom and spa products, did with their help: design the new Release® Bathtub Series. Pearl designers applied ergonomic design to create a bathtub that caresses the bather to provide the ultimate in comfort, support and stability.

    The new Release Series will be introduced this month to Pearl Bath distributors across the United States. "Our research showed that, above all, women want to be comfortable in the tub so they can spend more time reading and relaxing. Release is ergonomically shaped to offer bathers two incredibly comfortable sitting positions for either relaxing at one end or reading at the other", stated Don Raymond, Vice president, Marketing, Bath sector.

    The new Pearl Release bath brings a personal spa into the home with both standard and optional features to offer bathers the ultimate in relaxation and well-being—a Pearl Baths trademark for over 30 years.

    "Our team of designers met with women to determine the most ergonomically-friendly positions to offer the simple pleasures of rest, relaxation and reading. At the heart of the Release is the entire experience that is sensed by the bather: pure pleasure", added Don.

    Standard Features

    • Ergonomically designed backrest to recline in pure comfort. Bathers will enjoy unmatched comfort no matter how reclined they are thanks to a gentle-sloping backrest angle.
    • Cushioned alcove perfectly supports the head and provides a relaxing position for the neck.
    • Brass handles integrated into the bathtub's sleek design include a soft rubber fabric for a safe, secure grip. They are available in white, bone, biscuit, chrome, brushed nickel and polished brass.
    • Stability step with optional air or water jets. The unique footstep provides a comfortable support for the legs and feet to avoid "floating" in the spacious bathtub, as the warm water gently whirls. The step also integrates optional air and water jets for a soothing foot massage therapy.
    • End-to-end comfort for relaxing or reading. One end of the bathtub is designed for the ultimate relaxation and soaking experience in the soothing warm swirling water with the head, back and feet perfectly supported. The other is more upright to provide arm support for an incredibly comfortable reading position.
    • The new Aromascents® Therapy dispenser adds a few drops of mildly scented Lavender or Eucalyptus oil into the air. It's amazing how a few drops of essential fragrant oil can make the bather feel like a new person.

    Optional Features

    • Back massage: Four micro and two powerful rotating water jets massage the back and float away all cares.
    • Removable foot cushion: The soft, light rubber cushion can be easily positioned in different locations in the bathtub to provide the perfect foot support and comfortably stabilize the body.
    • Alcove aprons and integrated tiling flanges: Aprons offer a clean, sleek design and are available to install for the alcove. To ensure a proper installation, integrated tiling flanges are moulded onto the bathtub for a perfect fit and custom look.

    In addition to the new Aromascents® Therapy, the Release Series features Pearl's other soothing hydrotherapies including True Whirlpool®, Aerofeel®, Thermazone® and Chromatherapy. The Release Series is available in six different sizes for one or two bathers along with a 60x60" Corner model.
