Syndecrete. In addition to custom pieces, the company now offers a standardized line of sinks, tiles, and slabs in 13 colors and 12 aggregates of Syndecrete, a cement-based composite that utilizes natural minerals and recycled materials as its primary ingredients and that contains no resins or polymers. Bruck. The Bolero Typhoon pendant is part of a complete line of 3-watt LED decorative pendants and sconces. Pendants and sconces are handmade from multicolored glass, and different combinations of bronze, seafoam green, autumn leaf, matte chrome, chrome, amber, and typhoon glass are available. Ankmar. Gallantry series DuraGreen garage doors are SCS certified to have at least 88 percent recycled content. The doors are made with recycled Douglas fir fused with exterior-grade resins and waxes. The doors will not split, warp, crack, or dent, according to the manufacturer. Viance. Ecolife stabilized, weather-resistant wood uses EcoVance preservative, a non-metallic preservative with long-term performance against rot, decay, and termites, according to the manufacturer. The preservative is biodegradable, does not accumulate in soil, and can be used for aboveground and in-ground wood applications like decking, fencing, gazebos, and sill plates. Universal Forest Products. ProWood Micro wood is treated with Osmose's MicroPro, a preservative that recently earned Scientific Certification Systems' Environmentally Preferable Product certification. MicroPro copper wood preservative doesn't need organic solvents to dissolve its copper components, says the maker, instead using a micronizing technique that grinds particles to a size that lets them penetrate the wood as a solid. Pine Hall Brick. RainPave permeable clay pavers allow water to filter into the soil and dissipate rather than run off into storm drains. The pavers reduce the property's impervious surface footprint and allow for a larger house footprint, the firm says. Endurance Wind Power. The Endurance S-250 wind turbine can be connected directly to the power grid without the need for an inverter. It has a power rating of 5 kWh and can match the energy requirements of average U.S. households that consume up to 18,000 kWh per year, the company says. Rheem. The ultra-low-NOx natural gas water heater line includes 18 models with stainless steel radiant burners that reduce nitrogen-oxide emissions by 75 percent from previous low-NOx models, the company says. Tanks range from 28 to 50 gallons, including tall and short models, with gas inputs of 30,000 to 40,000 BTU/hour. North Slope Sustainable Wood. Treadlight flooring is made from small-diameter Western larch, using stunted trees from overcrowded forest restoration projects, a process that leaves the larger and healthier trees behind to thrive, the company says. Mansfield. The Prestigio 4 1.1-gpf pressure-assisted toilet saves up to 40 percent of the water used by a regular 1.6-gpf toilet, the maker says. Enviro-Trash Concepts. The Clean Chute is a trash containment and removal system consisting of a stainless steel door installed in the wall or backsplash.
