New Uponor EP Opposing-port, Multi-port Tees Offer Added Design and Installation Flexibility
The new EP Opposing-port, Multi-port Tees from Uponor are ideal for zone plumbing in two directions, offering design and installation flexibility for today's residential and multi-family plumbing applications. This new product offering makes it even easier for plumbing professionals to install all-plastic plumbing systems featuring Wirsbo AQUAPEX® tubing and Uponor's advanced engineered plastic (EP) technology, which is highly durable and resists corrosion, pitting and scaling from aggressive water. Additionally, EP carries a much more stable cost when compared to metal alternatives.
"Uponor provides several different EP products that are highly durable and reliable — especially in areas that have aggressive water issues," says Steve Lockridge, senior product manager, Plumbing, for Uponor. "Increasing our EP offering with these new Opposing-port, Multi-port Tees allows installers even greater design and installation flexibility to meet any residential plumbing application."

EP Opposing-Port Multi-Port Tees
The EP Opposing-port, Multi-port Tees are available in six different configurations — a flow-through style with 3, 4 or 6 outlets, and a branch style with 3, 4 or 8 outlets, which makes them ideal for zone plumbing in two directions.
And because they provide a reduced number of connections, these molded, one-piece tees can also greatly enhance flow performance. Additionally, their more compact design mounts within a wall, floor or ceiling easily, without the need for an access panel.
The Opposing-port, Multi-port Tees also feature Uponor's unique ProPEX® fitting system for a fast, reliable connection that holds strong even with up to 1,000 pounds of pull force, and the entire product line addresses all ANSI/NSF and state lead-content initiatives.
"Offering these new EP Opposing-port, Multi-port Tees makes it even easier and more cost-effective for plumbing professionals to install an efficient, effective and highly durable Uponor plumbing system," says Lockridge.
