January, 2009 -- Weiland Sliding Doors and Windows, Inc. introduces the first, AAMA/WDMA/CSA 101/I.S.2/A440-05 rated 16’ tall liftslide doors. Weiland, specializing in custom liftslide and folding door systems and windows, recently tested a pocketing, 16’ tall five-panel door which met AAMA performance requirements. The result was especially impressive as the ratings were achieved using Weiland’s standard flush track (only 3/16” above the finished floor) reflecting the depth of our engineered design.

The 16’ tall system is a natural extension of the efforts the Company has made to maintain a position as the leader in the high-end custom door and window market for the last 20 years. As one of the very first companies to introduce European liftslide hardware to the U.S. market, Weiland has been an innovator in the development of corner, curved, pocketing, over-sized, and hurricane rated lift and slide door systems.
