More Power to Eco-Conscious Homeowners: Harman's New HydroFlex60 Pellet Boiler

January, 2009 -- Harman Home Heating continues to break barriers with the introduction of the new HydroFlex60 pellet boiler. Designed for today’s environmentally conscious homeowner, the HydroFlex60 connects to and works in conjunction with the central heat system and hot water heater. The units work together simultaneously, allowing the homeowner the ability to adjust thermostats based on current market prices for the fuels. For example, if pellet prices are currently lower than oil prices, the homeowner adjusts the system so that HydroFlex60 takes over heating the entire home, with the central furnace as a backup. For hot water, it pre-heats water prior to its cycling through the water heater, facilitating the heating process.

Simple and easy to install, the HydroFlex60 cranks out 60,000 BTUs per hour for maximum heat efficiency. It features Harman Home Heating’s exclusive patented Pellet Pro Feeder and Burn Pot, which make it possible for homeowners to use low quality, less expensive pellet fuel and still get maximum heat and efficiency. Plus, the small footprint of the HydroFlex60 allows it to be installed in tight spaces.

“Our goal is to release homeowners from the volatility and constraints of expensive electric and oil prices while drastically reducing their carbon footprint,” said Karen McSherry, Harman brand manager.

Heating with a HydroFlex60 can save homeowners up to $1,500 a year* in heating costs, due to the fact that they can switch between fuels based on price variances. It can help homeowners drastically reduce their household expenses by heating the whole home with pellets.

The HydroFlex60 is on display at the International Builders’ Show in booth #C5643. For product images and additional information, visit www.fireplaces.com/profitsolutions, and click on Media Kits.

    * Figure is based on paying $4.30 per gallon for oil, which was peak during 2008, and assumes the homeowner pays $220 per ton of pellets.
