Artist Designed Morso 7644 Wood Stove Shines with Grand Feet and Spectacular Glass Door
February, 2009 -- The Morsø 7644 is an elegant wood-burning stove with round feminine contours and a spectacular view. Set upon graceful feet, this unique Monica Ritterband designed stove is ushering in a fresh new contemporary design.
“Monica Ritterband is one of the most popular cultural icons of Denmark “points out Morsø US President Craig Shankster. “She has been voted Danish artist of the year four times in different contexts, and her art works ranges from miniature glass mosaics to enormous steel sculptures, which adorn public squares, parks and shopping centers.”

Morso's 7644 Wood-Burning Stove
Morsø has a history of working with well-known artists, including Kaare Klint, Knud Holscher, and Bernadotte to infuse new inspiration into the classic wood stove, however the collaboration with visual artist Monica Ritterband involved both art and design, which is a company first.
Monica Ritterband described the motivation behind her 7644 design as, “The old stoves on lion feet really engaged my mind, and I wanted to create a modern product similar in character.”
The 7644 wood stove is convenient to operate, as its air intake, and thus its combustion and heat, are controlled by means of a user-friendly one-grip system. To ensure low emissions and high fuel efficiency, Morsø has incorporated a modern non-catalytic combustion technology in all the stoves in the 7600 series.
