Saroyan Debuts TreeSmart Engineered Flooring

March, 2009 – Building on its superior reputation and 60 years of woodworking experience in solid hardwood flooring, moulding and millwork, Saroyan is pleased to introduce TreeSmart™, its new line of unfinished engineered flooring. TreeSmart™ has a 3/16” wear layer that is identical to solid wood flooring in wear and performance, yet yields as much as four times the flooring from one tree as solid wood.

TreeSmart™ engineered flooring is manufactured in Glasgow, Kentucky in the middle of the most diverse hardwood forests and the highest quality timber base in North America. All floors begin with hand-selected, premium hardwood that is meticulously appearance graded to TreeSmart’s exacting standards then integrated into a 9 to 11-ply Premium Exterior Type I Birch sub-floor that is ready to install.

Premium lengths up to 12 feet and widths from 2 ¼ to 10 inches, combined with a proprietary scarf joint construction, give TreeSmart™ Engineered Flooring a distinct advantage over its competitors. The result is a dimensionally stable, engineered hardwood floor that is more reliable than solid hardwood in every environment, and an overall greener solution. Custom capabilities including custom species, lengths, widths, color selections, edges, hand-scraped, distressed and pegging provide unlimited design possibilities with most orders delivering within two weeks.
