New Jenn-Air Wall Ovens Marry Control and Performance with the Touch of a Finger

With a slew of industry firsts, Jenn-Air is introducing new wall ovens to provide homeowners with a new level of control and performance far beyond anything Jenn-Air or super-premium competitors have ever offered.

These ovens feature the industry's first "touch anywhere" LCD screen -- similar to the latest mobile phone touch screen technology -- which allows users to slide through options using only a finger. This gives them easy access to a variety of food-specific convection modes. Users can decide how they would like food prepared with the help of on-screen pictures of various foods and pan and rack suggestions. They can specify the desired "doneness" of their food, taking meats from rare to well done and cookies from chewy to crispy.

"While technically advanced, the control screen was designed with ease of use and flexibility in mind," said Tracy Frye, senior contract marketing manager at Whirlpool Corporation. "It's the largest LCD screen in the industry at 7 inches, making the pictures and displays easier to view and select. The touch screen interface makes it easy to walk through and select options. No matter what their level of culinary expertise, homeowners will have the confidence to prepare any number of complex recipes and dishes."

To ensure all the technological advancements are put to good use, these new Jenn-Air(R) wall ovens also feature the industry's most powerful convection system. The exclusive vertical dual-fan convection element, rated at 6,800 watts, can evenly roast on multiple racks in significantly less time than traditional roasting methods.

Available in the third quarter of 2009, the new Jenn-Air wall ovens will come in 27- and 30-inch single, double and combination configurations. The overall height of the double wall oven configuration model will fit nearly any double wall oven cutout, making it ideal for remodeling projects.

Finish options include Pro-Style(R) Stainless Steel and Euro Style Stainless Steel, Oiled Bronze and Floating Glass in Black or White.
