New to the 2009 F-150 pickup truck line is the Platinum series, which comes with three choices of V-8 engines mated to either a 4-speed or a new fuel-efficient 6-speed automatic transmission. The 5.4-liter, 3-valve Triton V-8 is capable of running on unleaded gasoline or E85, a blend of ethanol and gasoline.
