New Trane Furnace Removes up to 99 Percent of Airborne Allergens from the Filtered Air

Tyler, TX -The new XV90i gas furnace from Trane combines energy-efficiency, comfort and the industry's most advanced indoor air cleaning technology into one space-saving unit.

The XV90i has the TRANE CleanEffects™ innovation built right in, capable of removing up to 99 percent of airborne allergens down to .3 microns in this application. It's the same patented whole-house technology in the breakthrough TRANE CleanEffects system accessory that removes up to 99.98 percent of particles as small as 0.1 microns from the air that is heated and cooled--is 100 times more effective than the typical one-inch filters used in most homes. Air flows freely through the TRANE CleanEffects filter with a low pressure drop and the highest efficiency possible, without the arcing and popping of conventional electronic air cleaners. The cleanable filter never needs replacing, reducing operating costs for homeowners.

The XV90i has the TRANE CleanEffects innovation built right in.

Homeowners looking to reduce energy costs without sacrificing comfort will be sold on the two-stage design of the XV90i furnace. While the industry standard is still single-stage furnaces, two-stage units reduce energy consumption because they typically run at the first stage--65 percent of capacity--up to 80 percent of the time. The XV 90i runs longer than single-stage furnaces, but at an energy-saving level.

Trane has integrated key control functions into one microelectronic system which monitors the thermostat and gas valve in the XV90i. The variable speed blower with exclusive Comfort-R™ mode constantly adjusts the system for maximum efficiency and comfort. The variable speed motor is quieter, eliminating noisy start-up and shut down and it helps distribute warm air more evenly into every room--even in hard-to-heat rooms. Exclusive Comfort-R permits even further system fine-tuning--allowing a preset delay, which provides greater humidity control in cooling.

The XV90i is rated up to 93%+ AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency), has self-diagnostic controls, a heavy steel insulated cabinet and a durable pre-painted finish. Trane backs the XV90i with a lifetime limited warranty on the heat exchanger, and a five-year limited warranty on all functional parts.
