Boilers

Boilers are HVAC devices that heat water or steam to circulate through the home using a system of pipes and baseboards or other heat-exchangers. Boilers can be operated using a number of different energy sources. The Boilers category on ebuild lists boilers for heating applications.

Use the ebuild Specifier to narrow down your search and find boilers that fit the project requirements. You may choose boilers for heating from listed manufacturers, including:

You may also select values for key specifications to narrow your choices among available boilers:

A selection in Energy Type will narrow the search down by the fuel or power source used to operate the product, e.g., electric, natural gas, oil, etc.

AFUE refers to the Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency of the unit, which measure the efficiency relative to fuel usage and heating effectiveness, measured in percentage.

A selection in Energy Star? Compliant will narrow the search down by whether or not the product meets the energy-efficiency standards set by the government-backed Energy Star program.

A selection in Heating Type will narrow the search down by products that operate using water or steam.

Heat. Capacity Output (max. MBtu/h) refers to the size of the product, measured by its heating capacity, expressed in millions of Btu's (British thermal units) per hour of energy source input. A Btu is equal to the amount of energy required to raise the temperature of 1 pound of water 1 degree Fahrenheit.
