Kohler Introduces Reliable Touchless Flushometers with 1.28 GPF-Water-Saving Option

November 2006
Kohler Co. - a global leader in kitchen and bath technology and design - has employed emerging electronic technology in launching a new collection of Touchless flushometers for myriad commercial applications.

This new collection of KOHLER flushometers complements the company's line of Touchless commercial faucets, both featuring reliable and accurate Tripoint technology that works similarly to the technology used in auto-focus cameras. The streamlined design of these rather utilitarian flushometers also exemplifies Kohler's commitment to good design, a crucial element of every plumbing product the company develops, be it residential or commercial.

To provide a complete water-conserving sanitary solution, Kohler is introducing a 1.28 gallons-per-flush (gpf) flushometer and a high-efficiency bowl specifically engineered to accommodate this water-efficient flush. Designed to work together, this commercial toilet makes it easy to conserve water without sacrificing performance reliability and also ensures heightened cleanliness.

The KOHLER Touchless flushometer with Tripoint technology features piston valve technology that delivers reliable and accurate flushing performance with prolonged and consistent use across a multitude of water pressures. All rubber components that are exposed to the waterway are chloramine resistant, further ensuring dependability over time. Activation distance for both urinal and toilet models is pre-set at the factory - 18" for the urinal and 28" for the toilet -and the forged brass body offers vandal resistance without compromising the aesthetic.

For added convenience and courtesy, all KOHLER flushometers offer a manual flush option that requires no electric power, and can be activated anytime at the discretion of the user. KOHLER flushometers also feature a 24-hour sentinel flush that automatically flushes the unit if it has not been flushed within a 24-hour period. This feature keeps the flushometer properly lubricated, reduces buildup of deposits within the piston assembly, and keeps fresh and clean water in the trapway.

Offering consistent flush volume and waste removal, KOHLER Touchless flushometers operate on four standard AA alkaline batteries that supply sufficient power for up to four years of use, based on usage frequency. Siphon jet, washout and blowout versions are available in complete sets or for retrofit installations.
