Cooper Lighting Previews IRiS Square Recessed Downlight Series

IRiS 4-inch Square Recessed Downlight

Peachtree City, Ga.--Cooper Lighting previews a new series of recessed luminaires with 4-inch square apertures targeting prestige residential and commercial properties. The IRiS Square Recessed Downlight Series features unmatched modular design and a two-stage optical system producing smooth distribution with excellent light control and low aperture brightness.

The modular platform, which can be reconfigured from below the ceiling allowing the desired function of the fixture to be determined after rough-in or changed in the future, accepts a broad range of lamp modules and optical elements for open downlight, adjustable/accent, wall wash and lens/shower applications. Lamp modules accept tungsten-halogen, compact fluorescent and ceramic metal halide lamps.

The new series boasts numerous innovative features including a steel collar that can be rotated +/- 7.5 degrees through the aperture providing for precise alignment. In addition, all optical elements (trims) can be flush-mounted to the ceiling eliminating the flange with an optional plaster lathing ring.

The series also features 2-inch square aperture pinhole trims when minimal ceiling presence is desired.

The IRiS Square Recessed Downlight Series will be available third-quarter, 2007.
