HOPPE North America, Inc. Introduces HLS 7 Series Door Gear

FORT ATKINSON, WI--The HLS 7 Series Stainless Steel Multipoint Locking System is the next generation of multipoint locking systems offered by HOPPE North America, Inc. The HLS 7 Series is available in the active systems of shootbolt, tongue, swing hook, shootbolt/tongue and shootbolt/swing hook, as well as inactive shootbolt and inactive rod lock systems. Available in 45mm, 60mm and 70mm backsets, all HOPPE HLS 7 Series systems are made from 304 series stainless steel and other non-corrosive components which prevent the unwelcome intrusion of rust and corrosion. All of the HOPPE HLS 7 Series systems have an anti-back drive feature for added security. This anti-back drive feature prevents locking points from disengaging from the outside by possible intruders so forced entry from the outside is unlikely.

HLS 7 Series Stainless Steel Multipoint Locking System

Both the inactive shootbolt and inactive rod lock showcases another new feature for HOPPE inactive doors. The new latch blocker feature will not allow multipoint activation until the inactive system is activated. This new latch blocker will prevent your astragal and multipoint from potential damage. The latch blocker feature can accommodate multiple astragal thicknesses.

Also new to the HOPPE HLS 7 Series line is the interior handle lock-out feature. With tradtional multipoint systems you can only engage your multipoint door from the inside, but this new handle lock-out feature lets you active the multipoint from the exterior of the door by lifting up on the handle. This new handle lock-out feature gives the HLS 7 Series exterior activation which is a perferred feature in the entry door market.

Available in all the current HOPPE handle series and finishes, handle sets for the HLS 7 Series are available in two new backplates styles and 2 inactive backplates utilizing for the first time the US style of cylinder lock located above the handle. This new backplate is forged into one piece for improved appearance and easier installation.

Featured in this new backplate is a simultaneous retraction feature which enables all locking points to be retracted by pushing down on the handle. Using a 90 degree cylinder, the thumbturn as a visual indication if the door is locked or unlocked, even from a distance.
