At the center of Peachtree's technologically advanced StaySafe products is a strong layer of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) that is bonded between two panes of glass. This laminated interlayer is designed to hold up to extreme forces, even if the outer layers of glass break. This laminated glass also blocks more furniture-fading UV rays and provides greater sound barriers than standard insulated glass. For Miami-Dade County, StaySafe products are available as single-glazed impact products. In areas that require both energy-rated products and protection from wind-borne debris, StaySafe insulated impact-resistant products offer both. All of the insulated glass products have been tested to Missile level D in accordance with ASTM 1886 and ASTM 1996.
Peachtree's StaySafe products include French out-swing patio doors, and double hung, casement (in 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-wide configurations), awning, and direct set/picture windows.
