While JELD-WEN has offered mahogany and Douglas fir as an interior option for Custom Wood windows, these species provide high style for the exterior as well.

These new exterior wood species are an alternative to the company's pine wood window offering, which is made with AuraLastTM wood. AuraLast wood is solid pine that has been treated with the company's proprietary process to maximize exterior protection, allowing JELD-WEN to offer an unmatched 20-year warranty against rot and insect damage. As the species have natural weather resistant properties, mahogany and Douglas fir window exteriors are not treated with JELD-WEN's AuraLast process.
