Offering state-of-the-art engineering and an accurate wood window profile, Visions 4000 windows are composed of strong, no-maintenance vinyl. The 4000 line provides a rigid internal structure with a thick sash made up of multiple chambers and complex webbing. The chambers provide insulating pockets that minimize heat and cold transference through the window, and fusion-welded corners further enhance the products" structural integrity.
Visions 4000
The extruded frame is comprised of uPVC vinyl with high impact acrylic modifiers and stabilizers that strengthen the products and protect against color fading. An integral nailing fin and extruded brickmould ensure proper installation, in addition to providing a striking wood appearance on exterior siding applications. The high-end wood appearance is also enhanced by ogee detailing, which replicates traditional millwork profiles on the glazing bead and sash.
Visions 4000
The Visions 4000 line features single-hung, single slider and direct set units, available in 1/4" increments, to provide a fit for any new or existing rough opening. The slider windows offer sloped sills and internal weep systems that help shed water in the event of driving rain. Single-hung tilt and slider units contain woven pile weather stripping with a Mylar fin, providing multiple seals around the full perimeter of the operating sash and frame. And to keep insects outside and allow the fresh air in, operating units feature a half-screen with injection-molded vinyl corner keys.
Visions 4000 offers upgrades to the standard 3/4" insulated glass that include Zo-e-shield™ 5 and 6, The World"s Best Energy Glass™. With increased energy-efficiency garnered through multiple layers of Low-E coatings, Real Warm Edge™ Spacers and inert gas-filled airspaces, Zo-e-shield improves thermal performance and reduces condensation. Additionally, the EasyCare™ glass exterior coating repels dirt and reduces water spots.
Visions 4000 Impact
The Visions 4000 Impact line adds impact-resistant glazing to the Visions 4000 product line. Composed of a laminated interlayer of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) bonded between two panes of glass, Visions 4000 Impact holds up to extreme forces - even if the outer layer of glass breaks. This laminated glass also blocks more furniture-fading UV rays and provides greater sound barriers than standard insulated glass. Multiple weather stripping maximizes the energy efficiency of Visions 4000 Impact windows.
Visions 4000 Impact products have been tested to Missile level D in accordance with ASTM 1886 and ASTM 1996.
