*Freedom to change your mind
CushionStep™ is fashionably flexible, which makes redecorating easier than ever. It is both easy to install and easy to change as lifestyles and trends evolve. The floors can be professionally installed either with adhesive, or with a modified "loose lay" flooring tape system that lets the consumer remove and replace the floor as she chooses.
The key to CushionStep's new standard for underfoot comfort is Armstrong's revolutionary CushionCore™ Technology, available in standard and High Density (HD) thicknesses. "People will notice the softness - and absence of underfoot noise - with every step taken," says Allen Cubell, vice president, Residential Resilient Sheet.
The new designs emphasize today's most popular décor choices, including rich wood looks in exotic and domestic species; natural stone looks, such as limestone and slate; and distinctive designs like cork and natural linoleum overall patterns, and now in new colors like Amalfi Mocha and Amalfi Black. The Wood collection gives consumers the style they love, right down to a distinctive surface texture.
Impressions floors offer timeless design, created to complement rather than dominate a room's décor, and, the Stone collection features refreshing, natural looks with a touch of unexpected softness.
CushionStep™ utilizes Armstrong's exclusive technology, including its award-winning MasterWorks Technology®, for rich, realistic looks. Each floor features an uncanny level of depth, realism and texture. MasterWorks Technology with VTx™, a process that delivers a range of realistic textures and gloss, gives each design an incredibly natural feel, unique to its individual character. And, easy-care VisionGuard® clear, protective urethane wear layer provides exceptional stain, fade and wear resistance for maximum protection and design clarity. The floor's glass fiber web provides optimum strength and stability, while the CushionCore backing offers superior comfort and durability.
"CushionStep is a one-of-a-kind floor. It is a more flexible and dimensionally stable product that can be can be easily installed with or without adhesive, enabling homeowners to easily adapt their rooms to their changing lifestyles and interests," says Cubell. "Add the security and trust of the Armstrong™ brand, and consumers can have new found confidence to discover and express themselves. And, retailers have an exciting new floor to sell."
