Troy, AL, December 28, 2007 - HB&G Building Products, Inc. announced today the agreement to purchase certain manufacturing assets of Dixie-Pacific Manufacturing Company. Owned by Fortune Brands, Inc., Dixie-Pacific is one of the leading manufacturers of synthetic and wood porch products, with its operations based in Gadsden, Alabama.
Following the completion of the acquisition, HB&G intends to continue operating the Dixie-Pacific manufacturing facility in Gadsden indefinitely, with its initial focus on enhancing product quality and customer service.
HB&G, currently in its 127th year of business, specializes in a broad line of synthetic and wood porch products. HB&G's product offerings include PermaCast® Columns, PermaWrap® Columns, PermaPorch® Railings, PermaPost®, PermaPorch® Ceiling, balustrade systems, and ceiling medallions, all of which are available throughout the United States and Canada. HB&G is a privately held company, headquartered in Troy, Alabama. This is the third acquisition for HB&G in little more than fourteen months. Flex Trim Inc, of Fontana, CA was acquired in August 2007, and TurnKey Millwork of Raleigh, NC was acquired in June 2006.
