January 2008 - FRANKLIN PARK, IL - Sloan Valve Company introduced a new series of High-Efficiency Urinals (HEU) that utilize only 1 pint (0.125 gallon) of water to flush. The new Sloan HEU systems combine the vitreous china fixture with either a manual or sensor-operated Flushometer.
The HEU urinals, part of Sloan's next generation of water-efficient plumbing products, contribute to LEED® Credits 3.1 and 3.2 for water use reduction. These new HEUs, also known as fractional-flush urinals, provide effective, low-maintenance flushing in public restrooms while reducing water consumption by as much as 88 percent.
