Plastpro Launches New Line of Doors with Enclosed Mini-Blinds

LIVINGSTON, NJ - January 8, 2007 - Plastpro, Inc., a leading supplier of fiberglass doors and home products in the United States, announced the launch of a new line of fiberglass doors that include built-in mini-blinds. Utilizing innovative technology that allows light to enter interior areas, the new entry doors come in a variety of sizes and colors, and are available through door distributors and major retailers across the country.

Sealed between two panels of tempered safety glass, the pre-installed mini-blinds tilt, can be raised for maximum light, and lowered for added privacy. The flush glazed design also ensures that the edges of the window frame are not raised above the surface of the door, but are "flush" with the door panels to create a more modern, cleaner appearance.

The doors are available in both half-lite (glass in the upper half) or full-lite (glass running the full-length) to complement a variety of home designs, and made with smooth skin slabs that are paintable and easy-to-clean.

"These doors are not only beautiful - they are completely maintenance free and come with a lifetime warranty," said Franco An, president of Plastpro, Inc. "Just as importantly, unlike most external blinds these help improve energy efficiency within the home." According to An, the mini-blind doors are also a unique way to brighten-up front entryways, and a new option for those interested in a different type of patio door.

The new Energy Star-qualified mini-blind doors will be manufactured in Plastpro's Stockton, California plant, as well as at the company's facility in Ashtabula, Ohio, which is the first fully automated fiberglass door manufacturing plant in the world.
