For Immediate Release

February 21, 2008 - MANSHANTUCKET, Conn. - East Coast door dealers just got a glimpse of the future, and it was fiberglass.

That future was showcased at an event hosted at the Foxwoods Resort in Connecticut in January, when nearly 250 regional door dealers converged to preview the latest in fiberglass door designs and learn more about the results of a recent deal inked between JELD-WEN and BROSCO, one of the leading door distributors on the East Coast. JELD-WEN, a world-class manufacturer of windows and doors, has become the sole supplier of fiberglass doors to BROSCO and has introduced a wide variety of new designs.

At the event, JELD-WEN highlighted the multiple styles and new designs that will be offered as part of four distinct fiberglass door lines through BROSCO. Known for years for award-winning technology and design that have helped innovate the fiberglass door industry, JELD-WEN product lines now distributed by BROSCO include the JELD-WEN Fiberglass Door Luxury, Architectural, Design Pro and Smooth Pro series. Many of the new designs feature exclusive glass styles created by ODL. BROSCO also will carry JELD-WEN Steel exterior doors as part of the company's complete offering.

Charlie Smith, president and CEO of BROSCO, and Rod Wendt, president and CEO of JELD-WEN, spoke at the event, describing how the growing partnership between the two family-owned, privately held companies is a major advantage for the industry, customers and homeowners. Additionally, PGA TOUR professional Steve Elkington made a special guest appearance at the event.

"The strong partnership between JELD-WEN and BROSCO is seen as a very positive development by dealers. Fiberglass is definitely a growth category, and now they have more reliable options to offer their customers than ever before," said Chris Wray, JELD-WEN national product sales manager, exterior doors - steel & fiberglass.

While JELD-WEN and BROSCO have partnered for decades to supply wood (stile and rail), molded and custom carved doors to the Eastern region, the additional manufacturing and distribution of JELD-WEN's fiberglass line through BROSCO provides a strong business opportunity. BROSCO distributes hundreds of thousands of doors each year to dealers and retailers in states including New York, New Jersey and all the states of New England.
