Axor Montreux Bath Collection Unveils Lever Handles for Faucets, Tub Fillers and Shower Trims

September, 2008 -- Axor, the designer brand of Hansgrohe, has dramatically enhanced its Axor Montreux bath collection with the addition of new lever handles to all of the lav and bidet faucets, tub fillers and shower trims in the line. The cross-handle fittings that were part of the original collection, introduced in 2006, will also remain in the collection.

Axor Montreux turns daily visits to the bathroom into a true journey through time. The collection reflects the perfect harmony of the “belle époque” era at the turn of the 19th into the 20th century. Authentic to the smallest detail, the collection offers a refined combination of clear, geometric shapes with traditional elements, such as the filigree cross handles, as well as exposed piping and ceramic accents. The entire Axor Montreux collection is available in three finishes: chrome, brushed nickel and polished nickel.

“The new lever handles were created with that same rigorous attention to authentic historical detail,” says Hansgrohe President Russ Wheeler. “They help complete our assortment for traditional purists, but without the heavy ornamentation that clutters so many ‘historical’ designs.”

Crafted with similar manufacturing processes of the belle époque era, Axor Montreux fixtures are produced from many individual high-grade, solid-brass segments and precisely manufactured components, rather than from one solid casting, notes Axor Brand Manager Philippe Grohe. “It is the authenticity of the design and the high quality of production that turn these fixtures into true works of art from a ‘time recaptured.’”
