Says Melissa Nathan, former fine-jewelry designer and cofounder of MNG Designer Hardware, "POTATO was inspired by a pendent I'd designed by molding the clay model in the palm of my hand. The result was a potato shape that ergonomically fits inside your fist." Similarly, POTATO pulls and knobs work with the human form making them naturally functional. "POTATO pulls are designed with a subtle thumb contour in the end with the larger potato shape and taper through the middle for a comfortable grip before gradually growing at the opposite end into the smaller potato shape. And our POTATO knobs are designed to conform to index finger and thumb for a comfortable, natural fit," finishes Nathan.

POTATO knobs, standard size pulls, and oversize pulls are available in a choice of finishes and are found in MNG's Core Program line and Designer Hardware line. Special Order Designer Hardware products are higher in the food pyramid with hand done, custom finishes boasting a more rustic look. For a smaller bite out of the designer produce budget, the Core Program offers a refined, machine made POTATO that is always in stock and ready for quick delivery.

The POTATO collection in the Designer Hardware line includes 1 1/2" x 1 1/8" knobs that list for $40 each. List price for the 3-1/2 center-to-center standard size pull is $44. Knobs and pulls in the Designer Hardware line are available in Silver Antique, Brass Antique, Copper Antique, and Black Gold Satin finishes. Oversize pulls come in lengths of 6-1/2 and 8-1/2center-to-center for $70 and $85 respectively in Oil Rub Bronze finish.

Core Program knobs and standard size pulls are available in the same sizes as their Designer Hardware counterparts. Knobs are available in finishes of Satin Silver Antique, Satin Brass Antique, and Satin Copper Antique at $13.50 each and $15 in Oil Rub Bronze. Pulls list at $15 across the board in the four finishes available for the knobs. The Core Program oversize pull is 12-1/2 center-to-center. Available finishes are Satin Silver Antique and Satin Brass Antique at $130, and Oil Rub Bronze at $140 list. The 12" center-to-center pull is also available in Satin Silver Antique and Oil Rub Bronze as a two-pull set for back-to-back door mounting for $270.
