  • Translucent Solid Surfacing Corian Arctic Series translucent countertops allow more light to pass through than other Corian solid surface colors. Available in a 1/2-inch thickness, the countertops can be used to enhance or reduce translucency, depending on the strength and color of the light source used, says the firm. Large and small white particulates dot each of the series' five new colors, which comprise Arctic blueberry (periwinkle), Arctic mint (aqua), Arctic strawberry (pastel pink), Arctic lime (chartreuse yellow), and Artic ice (white). 800-426-7426. According to the firm, the product was the first durable surface in the world to receive McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry's Cradle to Cradle certification. Suitable for a range of indoor and outdoor applications, including kitchen countertops and backsplashes, bathroom vanities, and patio surfacing, IceStone is strong, heat-resistant, and scratch-resistant, the company says.
