Features and Benefits
- Small sand-sized particles in varying degrees of depth and visibility
- Most stains clean up with just soapy water and cleanser (For more details, refer to Staron care & maintenance). Staron has durability and renewability, usually with abrasive cleanser and a scouring pad or fine sandpaper. So Staron is highly environment-friendly.
- Staron has Class A flammability rating classified as per "The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)" so that it is suitable for private, public, commercial or Military application (For more details, refer to Staron Technical Properties).
- Staron is non-porous so that any bacteria and fungi can not be grown in it. Only cleaning is required for maintaining Staron's hygiene (For more details, refer to Staron Care & Maintenance).
- Staron is solid and non-porous so that liquids can't penetrate. Although some chemical reagents may affect the surface, they can be easily removed with abrasive cleanser and a scouring pad (for more details, refer to Staron technical bulletin). Staron has better heat-resistant property than other solid surfaces. However, avoid using Staron for a long time over 170ºF (80ºC) and always use a hot pad or a trivet with rubber feet to protect Staron (for more details, refer to Staron Products Specification).
- Staron resists cracking, chipping and fracture better than most granite, natural stone or polyester products. However, minor cuts and scratches can be removed with fine sandpaper.
- Staron's superior workability allows the most diverse and original designs. It can be easily fabricated with common wood-working tools and also thermoformable (for more details, refer to Staron Fabrication Manual).
- The National Sanitation Foundation has accepted Staron for "food zone" application under the NSF Standard51:Plastic Materials and Components Used In Food Equipment. This makes Staron suitable and ideal for use in food service areas such as restaurant, healthcare and educational facilities, office buildings and public buildings.
