- WindsorONE's fingerjointed, edge-glued boards help to trim labor costs, save time, and prevent waste. Unlike solid lumber, builders will benefit from no knots and minimum warping and/or twisting.
- Our raw material and products are stable and consistent. Frequently, manufacturers will utilize several wood sources from many different growing regions. WindsorONE is manufactured from environmentally friendly lumber and kiln dried to 8 - 12% MC.
- Windsor Mill utilizes a ZERO DEFECTS mission that creates a manufacturing team that strives to produce boards that are always smooth, always tight, always clear, and always straight and true. Boards that are not WindsorONE will have several defects per board, often causing the builder to flip and fill defects with putty. That is not the builder's job.
- Windsor Mill owns one of the few high speed WACO Planer/Moulders in the United States. Its blades turn 1.5 times faster than standard planers. High RPM's create more knife contact per inch, producing a smoother wood surface than any in the industry. Our customer's customers feel the difference.
- Windsor Mill fingerjoint blades are sharpened every 8 hours. Industry standard is 16 - 24 hours. Our sharper blades make for better fitting and consistent joints that won't open.
- WindsorONE is primed with two coats of exterior grade 100% Acrylic Latex Primer on all six sides. Industry standard, if primed at all, requires top-coating within 0 - 60 days. With our primer, top coat adhesion is superior and the window for top coating is exceptional (up to 1 year).
- Windsor Mill has developed the Proprietary Adhesive System (PAS). Windsor utilizes a unique blend of adhesives, designed for our specific manufacturing process and your specific end-use. Our PAS is suitable for all interior and exterior applications.
