Features and Benefits

FRAME The exterior of the frame is covered with a glass fiber reinforced composite to maintain an attractive appearance while minimizing maintenance. Andersen® gliding windows are available in three neutral color options. Specify White, Sandtone or Terratone® color
Wood frame members are treated with a water-repellent wood preservative for long-lasting protection and performance
Fold-out-and-lock nailing flanges accommodate 4-1/2 in. and 4-1/8 in. wall construction
Flexible bulb weatherstripping and spring tension vinyl are installed at the factory and provide a tight seal between the sash and frame
SASH Rigid vinyl (PVC) encases the entire sash. A vinyl weld protects each sash corner for superior weathertightness to maintain an attractive appearance and minimize maintenance
Natural wood sash members provide excellent structural stability and energy-effeciency
Interior stops are unfinished clear pine. Low-maintenance prefinished white interiors are also available
Teflon® impregnated Delrin® glides are self-lubricating and require only 8 lbs. of force to operate. A stainless steel spring within the glide provides years of reliable operation-even in harsh environments
GLASS Andersen High-Performance™ and High-Performance Sun™ Low-E glazing deliver optimum insulating performance. High Performance Low-E tempered and High Performance Sun Low-E tempered glass also available. Glass option must be specified
HARDWARE A highly-detailed lock handle and escutcheon plate are available in contemporary stone, black, white or red color. These handles are made of glass reinforced polyester material. Also available in traditional solid bright brass, solid antique brass and polished chrome finish. (Hardware choice must be specified when ordering. Hardware sold separately.)
For an added measure of security and increased weathertightness, the locking system pulls the sash firmly closed while pushing the sash tight to the side jambs. This lock is single-point on 2 ft tall windows, two-point on 3 ft tall windows, and three-point on 3 ft 6 in., 4 ft and 5 ft tall windows
