CertainTeed. A new formula means both WeatherBoards and ColorMax fiber-cement siding are more environmentally friendly, lighter weight, and lower density than in their previous incarnation. "This is a great siding product made better by its lower weight," a judge said. "The variety of profiles makes this the right product for many architectural styles." The new recipe calls for a mixture of recycled fly ash, portland cement, wood fiber, and additives; sand no longer is an ingredient. Soffit, trim, and accessories also are available.
