- Noiseproofing System
- Source: ebuild 10/19/2009
- The noiseproofing system consists of four components: noiseproofing compound, clips, sealant, and joist tape. The compound goes between sheets of drywall or other substrates to convert sound vibration into small amounts of heat; the clips allow each side of the wall to vibrate independently; the sealant plugs gaps; and the tape helps eliminate squeaky floors. The system can block 97 percent of noise, the company says. 866-435-8893. More
