Its Smart Guard system is modular and tool-free, so it's easier to remove and re-install a component. The see-through plastic blade guard's two-part split design allows each side to be raised independently. The Premier Fusion general-purpose saw blade, however, has been designed to cover the gamut from crosscuts and rips in hardwoods and softwoods to cuts in two-sided veneer and laminates. Not having to change blades "saves huge amounts of time," a judge noted. A double-grind tooth design helps the carbide blade cut smoothly so vibration is dampened.
